Two Marauder medium bombers of the USAAF Ninth Air Force after bombing a road and rail junction behind German lines while supporting Allied ground forces during the Normandy invasion. The plane in the center is the “Mr. Five by Five” and it was stationed at RAF Stoney Cross.
