Patrick Morrissey, Amazon customerParis Occupation History and Guide Book
This book presents three detailed walking tours and numerous metro station oriented short walks that identified significant occupation locations. Each location on the walk is fully explained. In addition, the author uses many sidebars to provide additional supporting information. The appendix provides a wealth of additional information and pictures that the novice and well read Occupation scholar will find helpful. Whether your first exposure to the Occupation or one of many books you have read, this book is a must read prior to visiting Paris. The format and size of the book make it easy to carry in your carry-on luggage. The book is the first of a three volume set. I can’t wait to see the information to be presented in Volumes 2 & 3.

Raphaelle Crevet | Certified Tour Guide, Paris, FranceStewart Ross’ book is full of interesting documents and research, it put you well on the tracks of Marie Antoinette, Danton, Robespierre and many more, whether in Paris or in Versailles, extremely interesting and easy to read!
Found this a very interesting article as we are currently staying in the south of France and have found a memorial to a French resistance member murdered by the French Gestarpo.
Many thanks and I have placed an order for your book.
Hi Dee; Thanks so much for taking the time to contact us. I think there are numerous memorials scattered all over France which commemorate French resistance fighters, Allied airmen, and others who died at the hands of the Nazis. There are many organizations in France and England dedicated to ensuring the memories of these brave men, women, and children are not lost to history. Also, thanks for mentioning the book. Please let me know how you like it once you get a chance to read it. STEW
